Meet The Maker Behind The Garden

My name is Ash, and like many of you, my life is a balancing act. Between working full time and raising three energetic kids with my wife here in Geelong, I've always cherished the peace and quiet that comes with gardening.
But I also know the reality; most of us don't have hours to spend in the garden, or enough space to dedicate to a vegetable garden.
I've spent years sharing my learnings across social media, trying to find the best way to grow a massive harvest with minimal fuss.
Wattle & Wick was born from a simple question: Why can't we bring that same effortless greenery inside for everyone to enjoy, without it looking like a science experiment?
I believe your indoor garden should be as beautiful as the home it lives in. I wasn't satisfied with cheap plastic gardens, I wanted "Living Furniture".

With nothing similar on the market, I decided to design and make my own product. Every piece is handcrafted using FSC-certified Tasmanian Oak.

We use traditional joinery with integrated growing trays and grow lights to ensure your garden is a statement piece, not a chore.

While I hand-finish the first batches of our signature timber units, I've partnered with the best in the business to get you growing today.

By distributing kits from Waterups and Verti Grow Australia, I'm sharing the exact wicking beds and vertical systems I've tested and trusted for years. If it isn't good enough for my backyard or kitchen, it's not good enough for yours.

Wattle & Wick is more than just a store, it's a community of people like you and me, reclaiming their connection with fresh food. Whether you've followed my journey at @ashs.backyardgarden or you're just discovering us now, I'm so glad you're here.

Let's grow something beautiful together.
